Gyotaku Fish print-Porgy
Gyotaku is a Japanese technique for printing fish. In the late 1800’s, Japanese fishermen would take a fish from the days catch, ink the fish, to make a print, and hang it up at the market as an advertisement of their day’s catch. Now it is considered an art form. This is a Porgy fish that we caught in The Gulf of Mexico, printed on 13×18-inch rice paper.
